Using Cambium
Cambium is provided by MaskedSyntax to help identify plants and organize plant-care information. By using Cambium, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must use the service lawfully and must not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or misuse it.
Image-based results
Plant identifications, health scores, diagnoses, treatment suggestions, toxicity details, and recovery estimates are generated from images and may be incomplete or incorrect. Similar symptoms can have different causes. Cambium is informational and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified horticulturist, veterinarian, poison-control service, medical professional, or local pesticide authority. Follow product labels and local laws, and seek professional help when safety is uncertain.
Saved data
A Cambium account is optional for free use on iOS and Android; new purchases require sign-in. Existing App Store purchases can still be restored without an account. Signing in turns on sync for the account Garden and stores a synchronized copy under your Firebase account for use on supported iOS and Android devices. Guest Garden data remains on the device until you choose to add it. You can turn sync off, export, remove the account Garden from one device, or delete it everywhere from Settings. Guest Garden data stays local until you choose to add it to the account. Removing the app can also remove local data, subject to your device backup settings.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple on iOS and Google Play on Android under the applicable store terms. An annual subscription renews automatically unless canceled through your store account before renewal. A Founder's Lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the Cambium Plus functionality offered with that product; it does not promise every future product or service. Plus includes unlimited Garden storage, history and Recovery Loops. Allowance plans include 30 identifications and 8 shared health analyses per UTC month; diagnoses and recovery re-checks share that allowance. Earlier unlimited plans retain unlimited AI access. The app shows the benefits of the product before purchase. Prices and any trial terms are shown by the store before confirmation. Refunds are handled under the applicable store policy. Deleting a Cambium account does not cancel, refund, or erase an App Store or Google Play purchase. Store billing must be managed separately through the applicable store account.
Availability and changes
We may improve, replace, suspend, or discontinue parts of Cambium. Online analysis requires a compatible supported device, network access, and third-party services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every plant can be identified.
Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Cambium is provided “as is” and without warranties of accuracy, fitness, or uninterrupted operation. MaskedSyntax is not liable for indirect or consequential loss resulting from reliance on an image-based result. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Platform terms and contact
When downloaded through Apple, Apple's Standard EULA also applies. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
